Our little pumpkin is turning one next Friday!! It is so hard to believe that Nash came into this world a year ago. Time has gone by way too fast! For Nash's first birthday we are keeping it simple. Not a whole lot of "hoopla" this go 'round. Since his birthday falls on Nov. 2, we are having a pumpkin theme. I used the above picture for his invitation and wrote, "A year full of laughter, blessings, and fun. Our little pumpkin is turning one." And yes, I took that picture!! I was very proud of myself to get such a good shot.:) We are having family and a few friends over for lunch.....I'm thinking either taco soup or vegetable beef stew. I haven't decided yet, but it will be something comforting to eat! I'm making little sandwiches for the kids in the shape of pumpkins. If you have seen the November issue of "Family Circle" magazine I am going to try making those little pumpkin cakes on the front. If I am successful, then you will see a picture of it next week! I love party details! I'm working on the rest of the details and trying to keep the cost to a minimum, hence the "not a lot of hoopla". I'll post again about Nash and his first birthday after all is said and done. Man, I can't believe my baby is turning one!!

Happy First Halloween, grandson! Nash looks adorable in these pictures and you are a great photographer! Of course, Mimi and Pops needs more of these!
Great picture! You are quite the photographer! Can't wait to hear how the party went. Happy B-day, Nash!
wow. that is crazy. can't believe it's already been a year. how is that possible???
Sounds like such a fun party! You are so creative. Remember, birthday's are for Celebrating (nash) with family and friends. Don't get stressed out. Nash won't remember anyway. Oh, and what a super cute picture! Was he IN something? so cute! good luck with all the details!
great picture-can I book you to take my kids pictures!
how'd you do the black background? do you have a mini studio?
enjoy the party...can't wait to see your photos! there are different degrees of "not a lot of hoopla"!
Happy Birthday Little Cousin!! I can't wait till Christmas to get to see everyone again! That is an amazing picture, good for you! I have also been thinking, I think the boys rebel and get sick when Steve goes out of town. You might want to look into that.. :)
I too must know what is the background-great pic. Nash is such a cutie, but I must say hearing that he is turning one depress me. I think God should have made the first year take 2 years -just my opinion!
Okay ya'll...I am no photographer, just got a lucky shot. :) I tried to get a cute pic outside, but Nash did not cooperate and hated being in long sleeves. Soooo, I brought all the pumpkins in and borrowed one from my neighbor. The background is a dark green fleece blanket that I just laid on the floor....it does look black though. I plopped him down, put pumpkins around, and hoped for a little grin...and I got one!
Way to get creative Kathryn! I agree with Star about the first year crap. It goes by way too fast!
