I'm BACK

My break from blogging lasted a little longer than what I had planned. I had intended on posting a few weeks ago, but when I sat down at the computer I didn't know what to write. I thought, "I've been away for a while, so this better be a good one!" I sat for a while, but nothing came to mind that seemed blog worthy. So again today I sit with nothing special to write, except that I'm BACK! I hope to not disappoint my whole 10 readers that have checked to see if I've rejoined the world wide web yet.

I took a break from my blog for several reasons. First of all, I seem to neglect the laundry, the dishes, the floors, and other household duties because of the time I spend on the computer. Can anyone relate?

Secondly, I just needed to distance myself from cyberspace. Through blogging I find myself completely involved in people's lives that I have never met. Click after click, story after story, tear after tear. Everyone has a story to tell. Some stories will break your heart. Some will make you laugh. And others you don't want to pull away from until you've read every single word in their journey. I realized that I needed to step back and invest in people that I DO know.

I also took a break from the blogging world to think about what I blog about, why I blog, and who reads my blog. When blogging you "put yourself out there", so to speak. How much is too much information? Is it weird for someone to get to know me without EVER having a conversation with me? Yes, yes it is. But that's the chance we bloggers take when we post stories on the internet.

So with all that said, I'm back. I will once again post funny stories. I will post pictures of my kids. I will even post something deep every once in a while. I will eventually venture back to those that I do not know to see how they are doing. And I will definitely check up on friends that I love dearly.
